The Chinese Spectacular premiered in Cleveland, OH on Saturday, May 3rd to an audience of over 2,400 people. Many people were interviewed and asked for their opinions on the show. While their favorite aspects of the show differed from person to person, the general consensus remained the same – The Chinese Spectacular is stunning in every regard.

Oscar Burman, a sales manager and Phyllis Whitman, a teacher, said that all the performances were fabulous. So great in fact that Oscar was unable to decide which one he liked the best. He said "The costumes, the dance, the backdrop, it was all amazingly beautiful." Phyllis, like many other people in attendance this evening, thoroughly enjoyed the Teacup dance.

Liz Walker, an insurance specialist said that she liked the drumming, but her favorite performance by far was the Water Fairies.

A researcher named Alisa Podgey said that she liked the Teacup dance the most out of all of the dances and said that she liked the costumes so much that she would love to wear clothes like that every day if she was able to.

Jack Jiang is a chemist in the pharmaceutical industry. His favorite performances throughout the evening were the ones involving martial arts, especially the story of Yue Fei. Jack's wife, Lily, is an income tax preparer who used to be a teacher, teaching both English and Chinese as second languages. Lily said that the costumes were beyond her expectations. Both of them agreed that it was the best Chinese show either of them had ever seen.

A young audience member in kindergarten by the name of Emma found the teacup dance to be her favorite while her younger sister Amelia really enjoyed the drums. The ladies chaperoning the girls were Sue Ellen Greenwald and Jennifer Sage, who both work in finance. The ladies both liked the Water Fairies. Sue Ellen said that she saw a scarf dance while she was in China, but said that this was "even better." She really liked the fact that this show had such a large number of artists performing in it.

Kathy Kennedy and Billy Sherman, who work in insurance and a Dye Shop, respectively, said that they especially liked the drum performances and Water Fairies. Kathy went on to talk about how she thoroughly enjoys learning about different cultures and that the Spectacular simply amazed her with its rich, colorful portrayal of Chinese culture. Billy found the entire show to be graceful and very well done. Kathy ended by saying that, "They should have more shows like this in town, I'd definitely come back to see this show again next year!"

As the Spectacular winds up its World Tour for 2008 it will have performed in 65 cities across 4 continents to a total audience of over 650,000 when the final numbers are tabulated.

Next year, these numbers will continue to grow and so too will the number of people who agree that The Chinese Spectacular is "amazingly beautiful."
